What We Do
Paramotor Search & Rescue assists local authorities during a search for missing persons. We do this by flying “low and slow” in a grid pattern, covering large swaths of open territory. We can locate people very very quickly, in areas that may considered very difficult to search.
By searching large grid patterns of open territory, we can eliminate areas that officials need to search so that they can narrow their focus to areas of higher yield potentials.
Upon locating an individual who was lost, our pilots can drop emergency backpacks (if approved by EMT’s) containing life sustaining items (such as water, food, etc). The emergency backpacks can be dropped by a pilot, landing directly in front of those in need.
Although our pilots can fly at 10 feet in the air for miles at a time. We can also perform higher aerial searches for vehicles or other objects left behind by lost or missing persons.
Official crews often use helicopters, airplanes and foot based ground crews to search through rough terrain. We are capable of flying over the high mountains, zoom through deep canyons and low fly along rivers, tree lines, washes and streams, all very low to the ground. Paramotors can search these areas with relative ease and with far greater field of vision.
